Sock Size Guide
Sock sizes are based on shoe sizes, but every brand groups them differently. This guide explains how sock sizes work, converts between UK, EU and US sizes, and shows how our socks fit.
WearMoods sock size
All WearMoods socks are one size, fitting UK shoe sizes 7.5–11.5 (EU 41–46). They're crew length (mid-calf) with a non-binding cuff and a stretchy cotton-rich knit (80% cotton, 17% polyamide, 3% elastane), so they fit comfortably across that range.
- Men: fits most men's shoe sizes.
- Women: best for women who wear UK 7.5 and above. If you're a UK 6 or 7, the socks will feel roomy at the heel.
- Children: not suitable – our socks are adult sizes only.

Shoe sizes vary a little between brands, so treat conversions as a guide.
What does “one size” mean for socks?
“One size” socks are made to stretch across a range of shoe sizes rather than fitting a single size. The range is usually printed on the label – ours is UK 7.5–11.5. Elastane in the yarn lets the sock stretch to fit larger feet and hug smaller ones, so the heel sits in the right place.
How sock length works
- No-show or invisible: hidden inside the shoe.
- Ankle or trainer: sits just above the shoe.
- Crew: mid-calf – the classic length, and the length of all WearMoods socks.
- Knee-high: to just below the knee.
